Thanks to an appropriation in Ohio’s biennial budget, six communities will each receive $1 million over the next two years to help with infrastructure costs and increased public safety for the racinos. The money will be paid in two installments of $500,000 each at the end of 2015 and 2016. Half of the money will come from the racetracks and half will come from the Casino Operator Settlement Fund.
