Internet café owners in Lake County have filed a lawsuit in Franklin County to stop any raids in their county similar to the ones conducted in neighboring Cuyahoga County. A Franklin County Common Pleas judge denied their request for a temporary restraining order that would have prohibited the attorney general or local law enforcement from shutting down the cafes. However, the judge also urged local law enforcement not to raid the Lake County Internet cafes. Oral arguments are scheduled for June 7. The judge must also determine if Franklin County is the proper venue for the lawsuit.
