The 51 sweepstakes cafes ordered closed back in May by the Cuyahoga County prosecutor will be permitted to reopen. A Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge had issued a temporary restraining order on June 13 that allowed only the four cafes that had requested the TRO to reopen. Since then, others have requested and been granted TRO’s, allowing them to reopen. The eighteen cafes that used the VS2 software and were accused of racketeering, money laundering and gambling remain closed until they have their day in court.
