Cleveland Cafes – Part 2
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Nancy Russo has reversed herself and allowed all Internet cafes in the county to reopen, including those using the VS2 software. Originally Judge Russo had said those businesses using the VS2 software, which are at the center of a criminal lawsuit charging racketeering, money laundering and illegal gambling, would not be allowed to reopen or be a party to the request for a temporary restraining order. In reversing herself, Judge Russo said there is no difference between VS2 and other software being used by Internet cafes.
The Cuyahoga county prosecutor has filed a motion with the Ohio Supreme Court seeking to overturn the TRO. He has also asked that the judge be prevented from deciding in a civil lawsuit the legality of Internet cafes in Ohio.
