Northfield Park has finally submitted its application to the Ohio Lottery Commission for its racino. Hard Rock International, a partner of the track, still has paperwork to submit before the commission can begin its initial review. The initial review should take about 30 days. After the initial review and receipt of the $10 million application fee, a more thorough review is done which would include background checks and an examination of security plans. That process takes about 6 months.

Northfield Park has already begun construction. They hope to open fourth quarter of 2013.
