Before Thistledown opened last year, an agreement was reached with the Governor’s office that would allow the track to be moved to the Akron-Canton area within 12 miles of the city of Green. By law, that decision must be reached by June.

In 2009, an Ohio Department of Taxation study estimated total revenues of $1.4 billion once all eleven facilities were up and running.
