The Ohio Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on the constitutionality of Ohio’s video lottery terminals on June 23. Ohio Roundtable filed the lawsuit, claiming that Governor John Kasich overstepped his authority by allowing VLT’s at Ohio’s seven horse racing tracks without voter approval. The case was filed in 2013, but the court put the proceedings on hold until the outcome of a similar case, ProgressOhio.org v. JobsOhio, was decided. A decision favoring the administration in the JobsOhio case came down last year.
