Cleveland Casino Fined
Horseshoe Cleveland was fined $180,000 by the Ohio Casino Control Commission for violations of state gambling rules. Among the violations were the mishandling of keys, failure to put problem gambling hotline information on advertisements, use of unapproved dice, substituting quarters for chips, allowing cocktail waitresses to enter restricted areas and improperly shipping slot machines.
This is the second time Horseshoe Cleveland has been fined. In January, the casino was fined $15,000 for using unapproved software. In that instance, the casino self-reported the problem. These latest violations were discovered by OCCC auditors and regulatory staff.
