For the fiscal year that just ended in June, Ohio\u2019s seven racinos generated $987 million in revenue, a 6.1% increase over last year.\u00a0Since 2015, racino revenue has grown each year, from $733 million in 2015 to $869 million in 2016 to last year\u2019s $923 million.<\/p>\n
Hard Rock Rocksino has been the leader each year.\u00a0This fiscal year\u2019s revenue was $246.5 million.\u00a0The next closest racino was Scioto Downs with $168.3 million in revenue.<\/p>\n
For the month of June, ten of the state\u2019s eleven gambling establishments saw an increase in revenue from a year ago.\u00a0Only Jack Cincinnati experienced a decline ($15 million, down 2.2%).<\/p>\n
Among the casinos, Hollywood Columbus generated the most revenue in the month of June.\u00a0The $19 million was a 7.5% increase from a year ago.\u00a0After two of the worst months in its history, Jack Cleveland rebounded with the highest percentage increase from a year ago.\u00a0The $16.3 million reflected a 9.4% increase.\u00a0Hollywood Toledo had revenue of $16.6 million, a 3.7% increase.<\/p>\n
Nearly all of the racinos experienced healthy gains from a year ago.\u00a0Hard Rock Rocksino led the way with $22.1 million, a 13.2% increase from a year ago.\u00a0The greatest percentage increase went to Jack Thistledown, with revenue of $11.1 million, a 17.8% increase. The others: Scioto Downs $14.9 million, a 15.2% increase; Miami Valley Gaming $13.1 million, a 9.5% increase; Hollywood Mahoning Valley $10.1 million, a 6.7% increase; Hollywood Dayton $8.6 million, a 12.5% increase and Belterra Park $7.1 million, a 4% increase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
