The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rejected Caesars Entertainment\u2019s request to dismiss objections by The Ohio State University to the casino\u2019s attempt to trademark \u201cThe Shoe.\u201d Caesars wants to trademark \u201cThe Shoe\u201d for entertainment services at the Horseshoe Cincinnati casino.\u00a0OSU objected, claiming \u201cThe Shoe\u201d has referred to its football venue (Ohio Stadium) since at least 1988. OSU registered \u201cThe Shoe\u201d as a trademark in 2006.
