{"id":1848,"date":"2008-10-08T10:00:18","date_gmt":"2008-10-08T10:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ohiogaming.keglerbrown.com\/?p=1848"},"modified":"2014-09-08T21:24:39","modified_gmt":"2014-09-08T21:24:39","slug":"plain-language-summary-of-ballot-language-for-issue-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ohiogaming.keglerbrown.com\/?p=1848","title":{"rendered":"Plain Language Summary of Ballot Language for Issue 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The proposed amendment would authorize:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One privately owned casino with a minimum initial investment of $600 million<\/li>\n<li>Casino would be located near Wilmington at the junction of I-71 and S.R. 73<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tax rates and distribution:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tax rate of up to 30% of gross receipts for the casino<\/li>\n<li>If another casino is permitted in Ohio, then the tax rate will fall to either 25% or the rate applicable to the new casino (whichever is lower)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Distribution of tax proceeds:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First: The expenses of regulating and collecting taxes from the casino.
