May was a mixed bag with two casinos showing increases and two showing decreases in revenues. The racino at Scioto Downs is faring the best. For May, revenues from VLTs increased 2% from April to $11.6 million. In its one year of existence, Scioto Downs has paid the Ohio Lottery Commission $37 million, 23% higher than original projections.
VLTs at the racino at Thistledown generated $11 million in revenues in its first full month of operation. Thistledown opened April 9 and had revenues of $7.9 million for the first 21 days.
