Rock Ohio Caesars has completed the purchase of the Higbee Building, current location of the Horseshoe Cleveland casino, from Forest City Enterprises.

Rock Ohio Caesars also announced construction on an elevated pedestrian walkway that will connect the casino to the parking garage will begin this month. The walkway is expected to open this winter. The purchase of the building was necessary before the walkway could be built. The walkway could not be constructed while the building was under the ownership of Forest City Enterprises because historic tax credits they received were contingent on the building maintaining its historic character. Higbee is on the National Register of Historic Places.
