Hollywood Toledo became the second casino to be fined by the Ohio Casino Control Commission for gaming violations. A blackjack table was operating outside the range of video surveillance and unapproved slot machines were being used. Hollywood Toledo admitted to the violations and agreed to pay a $30,000 fine.

If an amendment to the state’s proposed budget bill is passed and becomes law, Ohio’s casinos, VLTs and even Internet cafes will be required to send camera images of every customer to the state.

May was a mixed bag with two casinos showing increases and two showing decreases in revenues. Horseshoe Cincinnati was the leader here, with $6.92 million in free play. At the other end of the spectrum was Hollywood Columbus with $1.82 million in free play. Horseshoe Cleveland checked in with $6.2 million, the Thistledown racino at $5.16 million and the Scioto Downs racino at $3.82 million.
